Job description

About the Opportunity

Join an established, physician-owned private urology practice in south King County Washington where you can practice with autonomy, build lasting patient relationships, and enjoy a sustainable work-life balance.

We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Physician Assistant (PA) to manage an independent outpatient urology clinic with the support and oversight of five experienced general urologists.

This is an opportunity to develop a rewarding career in a specialty that combines meaningful patient relationships, clinical problem-solving, and procedural care, all within a collaborative private practice environment.

Unlike employment in a large healthcare system, our independent practice model prioritizes patient care, clinical judgment, and efficient operations without the layers of bureaucracy and administrative complexity often associated with large health systems.

Enjoy the best of both worlds: the independence to manage your own clinic and the support of an experienced team of urologists.

What You'll Do
  • Manage your own outpatient clinic with a high degree of clinical independence while collaborating with and receiving guidance from our five general urologists.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a broad range of urologic conditions including BPH, kidney stones, recurrent UTIs, urinary incontinence, erectile dysfunction, and overactive bladder
  • Build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and their families.
  • Perform appropriate in-office procedures, with training and mentorship available to help expand your procedural skills.
  • Coordinate care with supervising or collaborating physicians when needed.
  • Participate in cutting edge clinical research studies
Why Join Our Private Practice?
Clinical autonomy with physician support

Take ownership of your own patient panel and clinical workflow without being left on your own. Our five general urologists provide a readily available source of expertise, collaboration, and support as you grow in the specialty.

An exceptional work-life balance
  • Full-time schedule of 36-40 hours per week.
  • No evening shifts.
  • No weekend shifts.
  • No hospital call.
  • Outpatient practice focused on predictable, sustainable working hours.
A more personal approach to medicine

Develop lasting relationships with your patients and follow their progress over time. Experience the professional satisfaction of helping patients navigate urologic conditions through continuity of care rather than a series of disconnected encounters.

The advantages of independent private practice

Work in an environment where decisions can be made efficiently and the focus remains on patient care. Our private practice structure offers the opportunity to avoid many of the administrative layers, institutional bureaucracy, and system-wide mandates common in large healthcare organizations. We value practical solutions, professional judgment, and the ability to adapt workflows to meet the needs of our patients and clinicians.

Opportunities to learn and grow

Prior urology experience is welcome but not required. We are prepared to support the right candidate with specialty-specific training, physician mentorship, and opportunities to develop procedural skills. Whether you are an experienced urology APP or looking to transition into urology, you will have the opportunity to build a valuable and rewarding specialty practice.

Qualifications
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant.
  • Active state licensure and eligibility to practice as an APP.
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • A patient-centered approach and interest in developing long-term therapeutic relationships.
  • Ability to work independently while recognizing when physician consultation is appropriate.
  • Urology experience preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to learn and develop expertise in the evaluation and management of urologic conditions.
Compensation and Schedule
  • Expected annual compensation: 125,000-160,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Health insurance (with a reasonable employee contribution)
  • 401K with company match
  • Paid time off
  • Full-time position: 36-40 hours per week.
  • Outpatient clinic setting.
  • No evenings, weekends, or hospital call.

Benefits and additional compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
