Job summary

SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital in Missouri seeks an experienced Interventional Radiology Acute Care NP or PA for a PRN/fill-in role. The position is inpatient-focused with some outpatient clinic work, requiring 3–4 shifts weekly and handling 10–15 patients per day.

Candidates must be PA or ACNP certified with IR procedural experience preferred, and MO RN license or eligibility. The role offers a competitive hourly rate plus malpractice insurance but no other benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inpatient focused with some outpatient clinic.

• Perform venous access, PICC/mid lines, arterial lines and ports.
• No after-hours call.

SLUCare Radiology is actively seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a PRN/Fill-In opportunity. A competitive hourly rate will be offered along with malpractice insurance coverage, but no other benefits.

Preferred qualifications:

• Certified Physician Assistant (PA) or Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
• Interventional Radiology procedural experience preferred.
• Surgical NP or PA with vascular surgery, wound care or hospitalist/ICU background.
• Master's Degree from a nationally accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program.
• Registered nurse license and advanced practice nurse licensure or certified physician assistant in the State of Missouri or ability to obtain.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering positive patient-provider relationships.
• Commitment to staying current with advancements in healthcare and continuously improving clinical skills.

Core responsibilities:

• Inpatient focused with procedures, with some outpatient clinic.
• Work 3-4 shifts per week with an anticipated volume of 10-15 patients per day.
• Procedures include venous access, PICC lines, mid lines, arterial lines (vascular access) & ports.
• Minor bedside procedures (catheter and suture removals).
• No after-hours call.
