Job summary

Platte River Medical Clinic is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver acute and episodic care in a Family Practice setting for a diverse patient population, emphasizing teamwork and compassionate care.

Successful candidates will hold a PA or NP master’s degree, active US licensure, and relevant certifications, with a commitment to collaborative, mission-driven care and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• Active US license and DEA registration.
• Preferred 2+ years in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Urgent Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical evaluation, treatment and consultation.
• Respond to emergencies and answer medical questions.
• Document chief complaints, medical history, exams, assessments and plans for each patient.
• Provide medical orders for prescriptions, tests and referrals.
• Perform routine procedures (suturing, splinting, foreign object removal).
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and test results notification.
• Educate patients about care and medications as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and timely documentation.

Job description

In this role, you will play a crucial role in delivering acute and episodic care to a diverse patient population in a Family Practice setting. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Provides medical evaluation, treatment and consultation services to patients.*
• Responds to emergencies and answers medical questions.*
• Obtains and documents appropriate chief complaints, past medical, family, and social history, review of systems, examination, medications and allergies, assessment, and plan for each patient.*
• Provides medical orders for prescription refills, administration of medications, ancillary testing, and/or referrals.*
• Performs routine medical procedures that may include suturing/laceration repair, splinting, foreign object removal, etc.*
• Provide referrals to medical specialists.*
• Reviews ancillary test results and coordinates notification to patients.*
• Provides patient education as needed.*
• Maintains availability to patients personally or through clinical staff to answer questions and relay information regarding their care.*
• Completes appropriate paperwork to comply with insurance and reimbursement guidelines.*
• Completes all documentation and paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.*
• Manages personal clinical inbox.*
• Attends provider meetings as requested.*
• Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.*

Education and Experience:

Successful completion of Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Master’s Program.

Preferred Experience +2 years in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Urgent Care

Certificates and Licenses:

• State of Colorado Medical License
• DEA certificate
• BLS/CPR certificate
• ACLS/PALS certification
