Job summary

Advanced Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine LLC in New York seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver acute and episodic care in an urgent care setting. You will handle evaluations, treatments, and referrals within a collaborative team.

We offer a monthly wRVU bonus, a flexible schedule of 42 shifts per quarter with limited weekend work, and minimal on-call requirements. Competitive health, retirement, CME, and licensure support are provided.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Master’s Program.
• 1 year experience in Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine or Family Practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical evaluation, treatment and consultation services to patients.
• Responds to emergencies and answers medical questions.
• Obtains and documents history, exam, assessment and plan for each patient.
• Provides medical orders for prescriptions, testing and referrals.
• Performs routine medical procedures as needed.
• Provides referrals to medical specialists.
• Reviews test results and notifies patients.
• Provides patient education as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality and completes paperwork timely.

Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider

Reports To: Provider Lead

FLSA Status: Exempt

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Provides medical evaluation, treatment and consultation services to patients.*
• Responds to emergencies and answers medical questions.*
• Obtains and documents appropriate chief complaints, past medical, family, and social history, review of systems, examination, medications and allergies, assessment, and plan for each patient.*
• Provides medical orders for prescription refills, administration of medications, ancillary testing, and/or referrals.*
• Performs routine medical procedures that may include suturing/laceration repair, splinting, foreign object removal, etc.*
• Provide referrals to medical specialists.*
• Reviews ancillary test results and coordinates notification to patients.*
• Provides patient education as needed.*
• Maintains availability to patients personally or through clinical staff to answer questions and relay information regarding their care.*
• Completes appropriate paperwork to comply with insurance and reimbursement guidelines.*
• Completes all documentation and paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.*
• Manages personal clinical inbox.*
• Attends provider meetings as requested.*
• Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.*

Education and Experience:

• Successful completion of Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Master’s Program.
• 1 year experience in Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine or Family Practice Preferred.

Certificates and Licenses:

• State of Colorado Medical License
• DEA certificate
• BLS/CPR certificate
• ACLS/PALS certification
• DOT Medical Examiners Certification
• State of Colorado Level I Work Comp Accreditation

Minimal On-Call Requirements: You are only required to sign-up for three (3) on-call shifts per quarter. This provides clinic coverage if a scheduled provider calls out last minute. Optional on-call opportunities are available for those interested in earning additional pay.
