Role Description

The Advanced Practice Provider role is a full-time, on-site position based in Cheyenne, WY. The individual in this role will assess, diagnose, and manage patients in emergency and hospital settings, including performing comprehensive histories, physical examinations, and ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests. Daily responsibilities include collaborating closely with physicians and other clinicians, initiating appropriate treatment plans, managing acute and chronic conditions, and providing patient education and discharge planning. The Advanced Practice Provider will participate in care coordination, adhere to evidence-based clinical guidelines, and support quality improvement initiatives within the facility. This role also involves accurate documentation, effective communication with multidisciplinary teams, and responsiveness to the needs of a diverse patient population.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Emergency Medicine and Critical Care Medicine skills for managing acute and complex patient presentations.
• Candidates should be licensed Nurse Practitioners (or equivalent Advanced Practice Providers) with the ability to practice independently and collaboratively in hospital and emergency department settings.
• Current, unrestricted state licensure (or eligibility for licensure in Wyoming), national certification as an Advanced Practice Provider, and active DEA registration are required or strongly preferred.
• Experience in emergency department with evidence-based protocols, and strong clinical decision-making skills are required - 1 Year minimum post grad
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced environments.
• BLS and ACLS certifications (and PALS or equivalent, as needed), and a commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement.
