BestMed Clinics in Cheyenne, WY is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care and occupational medicine team. The role focuses on delivering patient-centered care in an outpatient setting, with opportunities in telemedicine and on-site evaluations.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PA or NP license in the state or ability to obtain
• Ability to obtain DOT certification within 60 days of hire
• DEA licensure
• Knowledge of treatment and drug interactions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on an outpatient basis in an urgent care setting
• Deliver care, treatment, and referrals as needed
• Arrange referral resources for specialty care
• Evaluate patients and establish diagnoses and treatment plans
• Perform clinical procedures within scope and skill
• Communicate diagnosis and treatment goals to patients
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR with CDI focus
• Perform occupational and telemedicine patient care
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as lab and x-ray review
• Attend to other duties as assigned by Medical Director

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care on an outpatient basis to include procedures normally performed in an urgent care setting
• Responsible for the delivery of care, treatment, and referrals.
• Arrange for referral resources for those medical specialties not provided by the organization for patients of the clinic
• Evaluate patients to determine the medical condition of the patient, through the performance of physical examinations, thereby, establishing a diagnosis and proposed treatment plan
• Perform such clinical procedures for patient's benefit which are within scope and skill of practitioner
• Communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals
• Maintains accurate, complete, concise, and timely documentation with a focus on proper level coding and clinical documentation integrity (CDI) in the electronic medical record
• Ability to perform occupational and telemedicine patient care
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as lab and x-ray review
• Perform other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Medical Director
