Job summary

WellSpan Health in Lewisburg, PA is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for Pulmonology and Critical Care to join a collaborative team of 3 physicians and 5 APPs. This role includes inpatient critical care responsibilities in an 11-bed ICU with night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, plus a $15,000 night shift stipend.

You will participate in ICU admissions, patient management, order entry, documentation, and procedures, with in-house anesthesia support for intubations.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree Nurse Practitioner required.
• Bachelors Degree Physician Assistant required.
• Masters Degree Physician Assistant preferred.
• 1 year of work experience required.
• CRNP or PA license required upon hire; ACLS/BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Manage inpatient critical care including ICU admissions and patient management.
• Order entry and clinical documentation; perform procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians; provide bedside care on an 11-bed ICU.
• Support with central line placement and anesthesia for intubations.

• Join a collaborative Pulmonary/Critical Care team consisting of 3 physicians and 5 APPs, with physician support always available.
• Work 14 shifts per month (7 PM to 7 AM) with no call responsibilities.
• Receive a $15,000 night shift stipend in addition to a competitive compensation package.
• Manage a variety of inpatient critical care responsibilities including ICU admissions, patient management, order entry, documentation, procedures, and collaboration with physicians.
• Practice in an 11-bed ICU within a lower-acuity community hospital, offering a balanced critical care environment.
• Opportunity to perform procedures such as central line placement, with support services in place including in-house anesthesia for intubations.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION

• Masters Degree Nurse Practitioner Required or
• Bachelors Degree Physician Assistant Required
• Masters Degree Physician Assistant Preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 1 year Required

LICENSES

• Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Upon Hire Required or
• Licensed Physician Assistant Upon Hire Required and
• Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required or
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Required

COURSES AND TRAINING

• BLS and/or ACLS as appropriate for the clinical role. Upon Hire Required and
• Nurse Practitioner - board certified by American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Certification Upon Hire Required and
• Nurse Practitioner - Completion of an accredited program for nurse practitioners Upon Hire Required or
