Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) with ACLS to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical and preventive care under physician supervision. The PA will exam, diagnose and determine treatment plans, order therapies, and interpret x-rays and lab results.

Responsibilities include assisting in surgery, taking patient histories, prescribing medications, and delivering patient-centered care in both inpatient and outpatient settings according to state regulations and hospital

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and NCCPA-accredited PA program completion.
• One year of clinical experience.
• Texas PA license and NCCPA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical and preventive care under physician supervision.
• Examine, diagnose, and decide treatment for patients; write prescriptions.
• Interpret x-rays and lab results.
• Provide surgical assistance and order various therapies.
• Work in inpatient and outpatient settings; may practice independently under physician license.
