The University of Kansas Health System in Westwood is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Hematology/Oncology team. You will assess patients, develop care plans, prescribe and monitor medications, and coordinate care with physicians under a Collaborative Practice Agreement.

Required education includes an APRN with a Master of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice, or a Physician Assistant master’s degree, plus active BLS and state licensure.

Formación

• Master Degree Nursing from an accredited program in Advanced Practice Nursing for APRNs or
• Doctor of Nursing Practice from an accredited program in Advanced Practice Nursing for APRNs or
• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate medical problems and request consultations as needed
• Educate patients and families about preventive care and treatments
• Create diagnostically appropriate treatment plans
• Document evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, and education per standards
• Refer complex cases to collaborating physician when necessary
• Provide medical interventions and monitor medications as appropriate
• Maintain collegiality within the interdisciplinary team
• Communicate clinical issues to Program Director, APP Director and Medical Director
