Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide direct diagnostic and therapeutic patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team. The NP/PA will work in collaboration with an attending physician across inpatient, ambulatory, or outpatient settings, focusing on comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current credentials: NCCPA certification and CT PA license; ACLS/BLS when indicated; DEA license if applicable; PALS/NRP as needed.
• Experience: Prefer clinical NP/PA experience in the given specialty, but none required.
• Licensure: CT NP/PA licensure and NCCPA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, triage and therapeutic management in inpatient, ambulatory or outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with attending physician and multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, treatment options and discharge instructions.
• Ensure appropriate documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Engage in professional development and may serve as clinical resource or preceptor as needed.
