AtlantiCare is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse specialized in Heart Failure (Cardiology) in New Jersey. You will diagnose and treat illnesses, collaborate with physicians, and participate in quality improvement initiatives while delivering cost-effective, compassionate care.

A Masters in Nursing is required, with active NJ RN licensure and specialty certification. ACLS and BLS/HCP are required; minimum 2 years RN experience in the field is expected.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in nursing is required.
• Current RN licensure in New Jersey with specialty certification.
• NRNNP, C or RNCNS, C certification with granted privileges.
• ACLS also required; BLS/HCP required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in the field.

Responsibilities

This position ensures that patient care is delivered in a cost-effective manner, managing and utilizing resources optimally. By demonstrating compassion and respect for the individual, the Advanced Practice Nurse provides care that meets the customers expectations.The Advanced Practice Nurse works collaboratively with physician leaders, administration and staff to improve clinical outcomes. This position participates in quality improvement efforts organization-wide and plays an active role as a member of the appropriate divisional and departmental committees. The Advanced Practice Nurse maintains current technical knowledge and seeks educational and professional opportunities to enhance clinical practice and competency.The Advanced Practice Nurse contributes towards the organizations educational programs and teaching activities. Qualifications

• EDUCATION: Masters degree in nursing from an accredited school or as grandfathered by NJ Law required.
• LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey and certified by the State Board of Nursing. Certification within area of specialty required and granted privileges from medical staff. NRNNP,C or RNCNS,C registry unencumbered. ACLS also required APG Cardiology. ACLS is not required in Urgent Care settings. ACLS is required in Heart Failure. BLSHCP required.
• EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years experience in field of specialty as RN in State of . Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.

Performance Expectations

Demonstrates the ability to perform the department specific competencies as listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

Work Environment

Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, blood-borne pathogens, and potential injury.

Physical demands include but are not limited to considerable stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing heavy equipment and excessive standing and walking. Lifting approximately 25-30 lbs frequently.

Reporting Relationship

This Advanced Practice Nurse collaborates with the physician and reports to the appropriate Administrator. This position also reports to Nursing or Departmental Leadership.
