Job summary

University Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join its care team. The NP provides preventive care and ongoing health maintenance across ambulatory and inpatient settings, collaborating with physicians and other clinicians to manage well, acutely ill and chronically ill patients.

Requirements include Texas RN licensure with advanced practice credential, prescriptive authority, BLS or higher, and DEA number within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in Texas.
• Master’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Three years nursing experience required; two years advanced practice preferred.
• Prescriptive authority required; DEA number within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides preventive care and ongoing health maintenance for selected patient groups.
• Functions in ambulatory and inpatient settings.
