Job summary

Responsibilities include independent histories, exams, treatment plans, and complex procedures, collaborating with teams, and contributing to education and research. Requires TX license, national cert, BLS/ACLS, and 2+ years of clinical nursing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program, with a preference for master's level education.
• Current Texas nursing license and national certification in the relevant specialty.
• Certification in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support or equivalent; trauma practice certification within six months if applicable.
• At least two years of clinical nursing experience in the relevant area.

Responsibilities

• Conducting medical histories, physical exams, and reviewing diagnostic results.
• Formulating and managing treatment plans, including performing advanced procedures such as line placements, thoracentesis, and intubations.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, updating clinical protocols, and participating in research and education initiatives.
• Educating patients and families, promoting process improvements, and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Supporting professional growth by meeting continuing education requirements and mentoring less experienced staff.
