Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Texas RN licensure.
• APRN-NP licensure in Texas; specialty certification as required by department.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• MSN in nursing as NP or post-master NP certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Examines patient and performs comprehensive physical examination, compiling medical data and health history.
• Administers or orders diagnostic tests (x-ray, EKG, labs) and interprets results.
• Performs therapeutic procedures (injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care) and manages infections.
• Develops and implements patient management plans; records progress notes and ensures continuity of care.
• Instructs and counsels patients on prescribed regimens, growth and development, family planning, and health maintenance.
• Follows up on messages, prescription refills, and test results for timely patient response.
• Supervises clinic personnel in delegated or directive medical care duties.
