Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program approved by the State of Texas; Masters degree required.
• Licensed to practice professional nursing by the State of Texas; APRN with prescriptive authority.
• Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program; Master’s degree preferred; DEA licensure eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provides health promotion, assessment, diagnosis, and management of patient problems with pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions.
• Responds to patient needs, triage, and therapeutic management across the health continuum as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Maintains prescriptive authority under delegated supervision and approved protocols; adheres to state and institutional rules.
• Educates patients and families; participates in process improvement and clinical outcome initiatives.

Nurse Practitioner Master’s degree (TX approved program)
