Job summary

Atrius Health in Watertown, MA is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our primary care team. You will manage a panel of patients with comprehensive clinical and administrative coordination, delivering high-quality care in a collaborative environment.

You’ll work with physicians, specialists and care teams to optimize treatment plans, perform exams, and adjust regimens based on patient response. A Massachusetts NP/PA license, national certification, and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program (Masters level preferred).
• Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts board of registration in Nursing.
• National Board Certification.
• Mass DPH Controlled Substances Registration active or ability to obtain post-hire.
• DEA licensure/prescriptive authority active or ability to obtain post-hire.
• Maintains BLS certification or professional certification as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive, longitudinal clinical and administrative coordination of care for a specific panel of patients.
• Performs examination, diagnoses and treatment in a primary care setting, including physical assessment and treatment; supervision of care plan and referrals as appropriate.
• Oversees monitoring and management of patients with acute and chronic illnesses; serves as care plan author and supervisor; adjusts treatment regimens based on response.
• Partners with patients and families to manage care plan.
• Provides consultation regarding hospitalized patients in the panel.
• Provides direction and support to staff to assure departmental effectiveness and efficiency.
