Stanford Health Care is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide management for patients with acute and chronic conditions under physician supervision, following standardized procedures. The role includes education and adherence to SHC policies and the IDPC framework, with a clear career ladder potential for clinical advancement.

The NP will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage patients, perform procedures as competency allows, and participate in quality improvement and patient teaching

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Graduate of an NP program accredited by NLNAC or CCNE.

Responsabilités

• Evaluates and treats patients with acute, chronic complaints and health maintenance concerns related to specialty, according to written standardized procedures.
• Obtains complete histories and performs pertinent physical exams with assessment of normal and abnormal findings on new and return patients, according to written standardized procedures.
• Performs or requests and evaluates diagnostic studies as indicated upon evaluation of the patient, according to written standardized procedures.
• Administers, orders, furnishes and prescribes medications, according to written standardized procedures.
• Orders and collects specimens for routine laboratory tests, screening procedures and therapeutic procedures, including blood and blood products.
• Initiates arrangements for hospital admissions and discharges and completes appropriate paperwork.
