Qualifications

• Requires completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner training program or a Physician Assistant program.
• For Nurse Practitioners: Furnishing Number and ANCC/AANP WHNP certification may be required.
• For Physician Assistants: DEA number and NCCPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Consult with physicians on patient health status and refer complex cases.
• Order and/or perform laboratory and screening tests per protocol.
• Perform history and physical examinations and maintain health records.
• Plan care in consultation with physicians, staff, patients and families.
• Provide patient education and counseling to promote health.
