Job summary

The Advanced Practice Clinician (NP/PA) role at Vanderbilt Health is clinician-aligned, managing a distinct patient population in outpatient and inpatient settings. The APC may be required to perform some outpatient and inpatient care and facilitate discharges/outpatient follow up.

You will perform health histories and physical exams, order tests, coordinate with the physician team, and contribute to safe, high-quality care while ensuring adherence to clinical pathways and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• APC must hold Tennessee licensed NP or PA credentials.
• Master's degree required and relevant clinical training.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience as an APC.

Responsibilities

• Assess health status and perform history and physical exams.
• Order tests and manage diagnostic data with appropriate documentation.
• Coordinate care with the attending physician team and discharge planning.
• Prescribe diagnostics and therapeutic interventions within scope.
• Maintain documentation in the medical record and communicate with patients and families.
