Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE) is seeking an Advanced Practice Clinician (NP/CNM/PA) for our Derry, NH health center. The role focuses on comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care for all genders, with emphasis on contraceptive services and counseling.

Responsibilities include patient-centered exams, health assessments, contraceptive management, abortion counseling and coordination of care with physicians.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Broad-based clinical GYN knowledge and skills.
• Excellent counseling and teaching skills.
• Ability to relate to a broad range of people and communicate clearly, using tact, discretion and sensitivity with patients.

Position Purpose

Advanced Practice Clinicians provide quality, patient centered, personalized sexual & reproductive healthcare to patients of all genders. Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE) is the largest reproductive health care and sexuality education provider and advocate in northern New England with health centers across Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. PPNNE's mission is to provide, promote, and protect access to reproductive health care and sexuality education so that all people can make voluntary choices about their reproductive and sexual health.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional patient-centered care in a manner that ensures compliance with current efficiency and productivity standards.
• Accurately codes medical services provided to support the organization’s overall revenue cycle.
• Provides health care that is culturally and linguistically appropriate to patient populations.
• Conducts comprehensive medical history interviews.
• Performs appropriate physical exams, with focus on the reproductive system, including standard initial and annual exams and screening procedures.
• Assesses patients’ health status and prescribes appropriate contraceptive methods and treatments for GYN problems, per PPNNE protocols.
• Dispenses medications from the health center formulary in accordance with protocols.
• Provides abortion counseling and follow-up care.
• Refers patients to physicians and other health or social services as appropriate, following the medical referral protocol.
• Counsels/educates patients regarding general reproductive health care, all FDA-approved methods of birth control (including emergency contraception), pregnancy options (abortion, adoption, parenting) and related health, emotional and social issues.
• Adheres to all reporting requirements and state laws relevant to the abuse of minors.
• Utilizes the EHR system to its fullest potential to ensure accurate documentation, billing, and optimal patient and population-based outcomes.
• Work does not include overnight hours.
• Participates in paid training for in-demand clinical skills.
• Engages in a collaborative work environment that fosters respect, engagement, and teamwork.
• Gains experience with a trusted leader in affordable, high-quality health care.
• Uses the Electronic Medical Records program EPIC.
• Contributes to making a direct impact in the community by providing patients with access to high-quality essential health care services.

Qualifications

Benefits & Compensation

• Pay Range: $45.46–$50.20 per hour for 0–5 years of experience; up to $72 per hour for 17+ years of direct experience.
• Up to 3 weeks paid time off (increases with tenure) and up to 10 paid holidays.
