Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Northern New England is seeking an Advanced Practice Clinician to join the Remote Care Team on Tuesdays, with in-person days in Sanford, ME on Thursdays and Fridays. This part-time hybrid role offers meaningful clinical work with a strong commitment to reproductive health and patient-centered care.

Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in NP/PA, demonstrate excellent counseling skills, and show familiarity with EPIC EMR.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-centered care complying with PPNNE standards.
  • Assess health status and prescribe contraception and GYN treatments.
  • Counsel patients on reproductive health care and options.
  • Deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate care.
  • Perform reproductive system exams and screenings.
  • Refer patients to physicians and social services as needed.
  • Code medical services accurately to support revenue cycle.

POSITION TITLE: Advanced Practice Clinician (NP/CNM/PA)

LOCATION: Remote Care Team (Tuesdays), & Sanford, ME (Thursdays & Fridays)

HOURS:Part Time, 22.5/week , Hourly (Non-Exempt)

UNION MEMBERSHIP:This position is represented by MSEA union in ME

POSITION PURPOSE: Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC) provide patient-centered, personalized health care to clients. APCs along with Health Center support staff create a safe, non judgmental environment for people of all genders to access high quality reproductive & sexual healthcare.


YOUR DAY- TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides exceptional patient-centered care, in a manner that ensures compliance with current PPNNE efficiency and productivity standards.
  • Assesses patient's health status and prescribes appropriate contraceptive methods, treatments for GYN problems
  • Counsels/educates patients regarding general reproductive health care; all FDA-approved methods of birth control, including emergency contraception; pregnancy options including abortion, adoption as well as Gender Affiant Hormone Therapy
  • Provides health care that is culturally and linguistically appropriate to PPNNE patient populations.
  • Performs appropriate physical exams, with focus on the reproductive system, including standard initial and annual exams, and screening procedures
  • Refers patients to physicians and other health or social services as appropriate
  • Responsible for accurately coding for medical services provided, in support of the organization’s overall revenue cycle.

COMPENSATION:
  • Pay Range -the range of pay for this role begins at $56/hr
