Job summary

Qualifications

• A degree from an accredited program in physical therapy.
• BLS certification required.
• Two years of clinical experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and critical thinking.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced rehab setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patient’s physical and functional status, including muscular strength, motor functions, reflexes, ambulation skills and activities of daily living.
• Observes and interviews patient, reviews medical history, and administers sensory tests and range-of-motion exams.
• Develops and implements treatment programs with periodic reassessment and adaptation.
• Plans and delivers patient and family training for proper care.
• Utilizes and orders in-house equipment and fits devices to the patient.
• Schedules patients for clinics and programs as appropriate.
• Determines and orders durable medical equipment in consultation with patient and team.
• Documents evaluation findings and progress; communicates with patient and family.
• Participates in education programs and research as needed.
• Maintains safety techniques and regulatory compliance in daily practice.
