• Current Certification in Basic Life Support.
• Direct access: Doctoral degree with residency or fellowship, OR licensed therapist with 30 hours of continuing competence in differential diagnosis.
• Current license to practice Physical Therapy by Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners or by the Physical Therapy Compact Commission.
• At least two (2) years clinical experience or completion of an accredited residency program.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients, develops and initiates treatment plan based on evaluation results.
• Provides direct patient care and documents findings, progress, and instruction.
• Assists Level III physical therapists and leadership with program development and serves as a resource to staff PTs.
• Provides training and guidance to students and interns.
• Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
