Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to independently prepare and dispense patient-specific medications and to manage sterile compounding, inventory, and safety initiatives across shifts.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and teamwork within a faith-based health system dedicated to holistic care. Prior hospital pharmacy experience and licensure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to problem-solve and resolve discrepancies in pharmacy operations.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
• English fluency required; reading and documentation accuracy essential.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepares and dispenses patient-specific medication doses.
• Compounds sterile medications including chemotherapy following USP guidelines.
• Manages medication inventory, stocking, and perpetual counts.
• Ensures proper storage, cold chain, and regulatory compliance across shifts.
• Leads safety and efficiency initiatives within the pharmacy team.
