Job summary
Omnicare is seeking an Advanced Pharmacy Technician to join its closed-door pharmacy team. The role focuses on order fulfillment, packaging, dispensing, and ensuring regulatory compliance for patient medications in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities.
Qualified candidates will hold a pharmacy technician certification and have at least 1 year of experience, with preference for long-term care or retail/medical support background. Full-time, on-site position with comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician as required by state law.
- 1+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent.
- Experience in long-term care or closed-door pharmacy settings is preferred.
- PTCB National Certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist with packaging and dispensing medications.
- Review delivery orders and ensure accurate stock rotations.
- Coordinate stock deliveries and Omnicell restocks at facilities.
- Assist with front-end phone and order-entry tasks.
- Perform physical inventories of medication.
- Support various pharmacy workstations (Packaging, Staging, Returns, Receiving, Narcotics, IV, Compounding).
