Responsibilities

• Coordinates and communicates with management, coworkers, patients, and other healthcare professionals regarding changes to workflows.
• Handles prior authorization requests, copay assistance programs, and benefits investigations.
• Coordinates with third‑party payers, clinicians, and patients to process prior authorization requests within timelines.
• Enrollees patients into manufacturer patient assistance programs as eligible.
• Verifies patient demographics and insurance information in systems.
• Educates staff on third‑party billing policies and procedures as needed.
• Answers and triages patient, provider, and third‑party calls per scripts.
• Performs duties of Pharmacy Technician at an advanced level and leads improvement initiatives.
