Job summary

Associates In Medical Imaging, LLC seeks a PET/CT Technologist to perform PET and CT imaging procedures with a strong focus on safety, compassion, and patient-centered care. The role involves preparing radiopharmaceuticals, operating PET/CT equipment, acquiring and processing diagnostically useful images, and maintaining meticulous documentation per protocols and radiation safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT Radiography certification, Nuclear Medicine certification, and CT

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology/Radiography program.
  • Current ARRT certification/registration in Radiography.
  • Certification in Nuclear Medicine through ARRT(N) or NMTCB, as applicable.
  • CT certification and/or documented clinical competency as required by applicable regulations and organizational standards.
  • Minimum of one year of PET/CT experience preferred, or completion of an approved PET/CT training program with appropriate clinical experience.
  • Current state licensure as required.
  • Strong technical, communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, educate, and safely position patients for PET/CT procedures, including verification of patient history, orders, and preparation requirements.
  • Prepare, handle, and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols, regulatory requirements, and radiation safety standards.
  • Perform PET/CT examinations, including patient positioning, image acquisition, processing, reconstruction, and quality evaluation.
  • Operate PET/CT and related imaging equipment and perform required quality control procedures.
  • Review images for technical quality and completeness and obtain additional imaging as directed by the radiologist or nuclear medicine physician.
  • Accurately document patient, procedure, radiopharmaceutical, and imaging information in the RIS, PACS, EMR, and other designated systems.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality, follow safety and regulatory requirements, maintain professional competency, and perform duties within the scope of education, certification, and licensure.
