Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support RNs and provide compassionate, hands-on patient care. You will assist with vital signs, mobility, and daily needs while helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

Strong teamwork and empathy are essential to our mission. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, BCLS, and Kansas CNA license or PCT Essentials training, with orientation before transitioning to 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience in an acute care setting, Preferred.
• Kansas Certified Nursing Assistant License required or completion of the HCA Patient Care Tech Essentials training.
• BCLS certification required upon hire.
• Must be able to complete PCT Orientation (2 full weeks, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm before transitioning to 12-hr shifts on floor). November/December start dates.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
• Full-time DAY Schedule: 6:45A-7:15P; 3 12-hr shifts following completion of PCT Orientation
