Qualifications

• 2 years Nursing Assistant, PCT or healthcare experience required.
• Certification and completion of advanced skills within six months of hire.
• BLS, CPCT, CNA or EMT certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and staff consistent with Jefferson's values.
• Recognizes patients and families in providing safe, compassionate, coordinated care.
• Communicates with interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs designated direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision of licensed clinicians.
• Maintains a safe patient care environment.
• May serve as a virtual safety associate as needed.
• Assists in maintaining supplies and equipment for efficient unit operations and trains new staff on supplies and equipment use.
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills (EKG monitoring, IV insertion, phlebotomy, lab specimen collection, ultrasound-guided procedures, etc.).
• Acts as a coach/trainer to other team members, including transfer and positioning coaching and bladder scanning.
