Job summary

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is seeking an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support RN-led care, perform advanced clinical tasks, and help create a safe, welcoming environment for patients and families.

In this role, you will observe and document patient changes, assist with ADLs, and provide phlebotomy and telemetry support, contributing to compassionate, patient-centered care on a busy hospital unit.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience required.
• Under RN supervision, perform advanced clinical tasks.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Observe patients, document changes, and communicate them with the nursing team
• Help patients with daily needs (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely
• Provide advanced care, including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and care for wounds
• Assist with supporting tasks like collecting lab samples and assisting with clerical duties to keep care running smoothly
• Look ahead to what patients might need, respond quickly, and help ensure every experience feels seamless and compassionate
