Job summary

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital invites applications for a Patient Care Technician PRN in Cardiac Care. Join a collaborative nursing team supporting RNs with hands-on patient care, vital signs, mobility, and daily needs to restore comfort and dignity.

Responsibilities include assisting with preparation, transfers, dressing changes, keeping areas safe and stocked, and ensuring infection control. Eligible candidates will obtain Basic Life Support within 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
