Job summary

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is seeking an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our team on a PRN basis. Under RN guidance, you will perform advanced clinical tasks and help create a safe, welcoming environment where patients and families feel valued and respected.

Responsibilities include observing patients, assisting with activities of daily living, providing advanced care such as phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, IV/catheter management, wound care, and aiding with lab samples and

• Provide advanced care including phlebotomy, telemetry, IV/catheter management, and wound care.
• Assist with collecting lab samples and clerical tasks to keep care running smoothly.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be an important part of delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Under the guidance of a registered nurse, you will perform advanced clinical tasks and help create a safe, welcoming environment where patients and families feel valued and respected.

• Observe patients, document changes, and communicate them with the nursing team
• Help patients with daily needs (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely
• Provide advanced care, including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and care for wounds
• Assist with supporting tasks like collecting lab samples and assisting with clerical duties to keep care running smoothly
• Look ahead to what patients might need, respond quickly, and help ensure every experience feels seamless and compassionate
