Job summary

Wesley Woodlawn Hospital & ER is hiring an Advanced Patient Care Technician to work under a registered nurse, performing advanced clinical tasks and delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

You will observe and document patient changes, assist with ADLs, perform phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, IV/ catheter removal, wound care, and collect lab samples while supporting clerical duties to keep care running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

• Help patients with daily needs (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely.
• Provide advanced care including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, IV line/catheter removal, and wound care.

• Anticipate patient needs and help ensure a seamless and compassionate experience.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be an important part of delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Under the guidance of a registered nurse, you will perform advanced clinical tasks and help create a safe, welcoming environment where patients and families feel valued and respected.

• Observe patients, document changes, and communicate them with the nursing team
• Help patients with daily needs (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely
• Provide advanced care, including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and care for wounds
• Assist with supporting tasks like collecting lab samples and assisting with clerical duties to keep care running smoothly
• Look ahead to what patients might need, respond quickly, and help ensure every experience feels seamless and compassionate
