San Luis Ambulance in California seeks a certified paramedic to deliver high-quality pre-hospital care. You will assess calls, determine the best treatment, and use defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and CPR to stabilize patients.

Triage with the SLA/SLOCO EMSA START system and coordinate with Base Hospitals. Lead scene management when required, operate the ambulance, document all treatment and transport activities, and maintain current certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Current California Driver’s License.
• Current paramedic license.
• Driving record in compliance with SLA policy regarding insurability.
• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Current CPR certification.
• Current California Ambulance Driver’s License.
• Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Assess each call to determine the best course of action and patient treatment protocol.
• Use defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen administration and CPR to stabilize patients.
• Triage patients using the SLOCO EMSA START system.
• Provide patient care according to SLA and SLOCO EMSA policies and protocols.
• Lead scene management when required.
• Operate the ambulance and support map reading to minimize response time.
• Document all treatment and transport activities accurately.
• Maintain current certifications (paramedic, CDL, CPR, and medical examiners).
• Educate EMT partners on new or changing treatment and EMS information.
• Participate in community education programs to uphold SLA standards.
