Job summary

Jan-Care Ambulance, Inc. is seeking a Paramedic to provide safe, compassionate EMS transport and out-of-hospital care in West Virginia. The role centers on maintaining patient dignity, adherence to state protocols, and teamwork within a community-focused organization.

You will participate in ongoing training, operate in a fast-paced environment, and contribute to high-quality patient care across rural and urban settings in WV. A strong commitment to safety and professional standards is essential.

Qualifications

• General Knowledge of EMS operations, operation of ambulances and proper use of EMS equipment.
• Ability to learn through training, using a wide variety of EMS methods.
• Ability to readily acquire knowledge of the road/street systems and general physical layout of assigned communities.
• Open airway, ventilate, CPR and defibrillator use; provide trauma care and immobilization as needed.

Responsibilities

• Attend instruction sessions for orientation, EMS operations, compliance, emergency vehicle operations, maintain EMS certification and other required programs.
• Provide out-of-hospital care to patients and safe ambulance transport in consideration of statewide protocols and medical command direction and assessment.
• Lift, carry, and balance a minimum of 125 lbs. alone and 250 lbs. with assistance, at 33 inches, for 10 feet.
• Hear, comprehend and respond to information from co-workers, patients, physicians, dispatchers and scene sounds.
• Demonstrate manual dexterity and fine motor skills for quality patient care.
