Stanford Health Care's Byers Eye Institute seeks an Ophthalmic Technician II to support patient care and administrative duties in a high-volume clinic. You will document medical histories, perform tests, and assist during procedures under supervision, contributing to accurate diagnoses and efficient clinic flow.

Competenze

• Minimum one year experience serving as an ophthalmic technician in a high-volume setting.
• Knowledge of ophthalmic medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology of the visual systems helpful.
• Skill in acquiring accurate medical history, measuring visual acuity, and tonometry.

Mansioni

• Document, record, and update patient’s ocular and medical history in EMR or paper records.
• Perform tests for physicians to diagnose patients including acuity, autorefractometry, lensometry, tonometry, topography, visual fields.
• Conduct ophthalmic electrophysiology testing (ERG, EOG, VEP, GVF, color vision) and draft preliminary reports.
• Administer eye drops for pupil dilation and topical anesthesia under supervision.
• Assist physicians during minor surgical procedures and prepare instruments for reprocessing.
• Handle prescriptions refills coordination and insurance verifications as needed.
• Maintain equipment, stock clinics, and ensure rooms are clean and organized.
