Job summary

Baptist Health in Prattville is seeking an Advanced Nursing Extern PRN to support the Emergency Department under a registered nurse's supervision. The extern will assist with selected clinical tasks and data collection while developing practical skills in patient care.

You will participate in timely documentation, help with basic lab specimen collection, and collaborate with the nursing team, while continuing nursing education and meeting Alabama Board requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
• Must have completed Fundamentals of Nursing Care, Pharmacology, and Medication Administration.

The Extern's duties and responsibilities are limited to those that fall under the scope of practice of unlicensed health care providers acting under the direction of a licensed nurse as per the Alabama Board of Nursing. This individual shall support the department of Nursing, which include, but are not limited to, selected technical skills, data collection, and lab specimen collection. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.**Education/Experience:**High School diploma or equivalent required.
