Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner for the NADARS Service at Caley Court Resource Centre, Stevenson. The post is permanent and requires 36 hours per week.

RNMH registration, post-registration experience in addictions, and UK driving licence are essential, with potential visa sponsorship considerations. You will lead clinical care for individuals with substance misuse, provide specialist advice, and contribute to education and training within Mental Health.

Qualifications

• First Level Registered Nurse – RMN is essential.
• Evidence of continuing professional development (master level modules in advanced practice, clinical assessment and non-medical prescribing) is essential.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work in a complex environment are essential.
• Superior communication skills (oral and written) and delegation, decision making, problem solving, planning and prioritising are essential.

Responsibilities

• Work within agreed protocols to perform assessment, initiate clinical investigations, determine differential diagnosis and undertake interventions for addiction presentations.
• Contribute to development and delivery of educational addiction-related training within Mental Health.
• Provide leadership, clinical support, supervision and advice to nursing staff and coordinate contributions of other team members.
• Audit and quality assurance programmes to promote evidence-based best practice.
