Job summary

Community Health Systems seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist II to perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging. You will prepare radiopharmaceuticals, maintain equipment, and comply with regulatory standards.

Role involves collaboration with physicians and radiologists, EMR documentation, and participation in QA/QC, staff mentoring, and safety reporting to support efficient nuclear medicine services.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience performing nuclear medicine imaging procedures in a clinical or hospital setting.
  • Experience with advanced nuclear medicine procedures including SPECT and therapy applications in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex imaging procedures (planar, SPECT, and therapeutic studies) per physician orders.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals with strict radiation safety protocols.
  • Evaluate patient condition and history prior to procedures and confirm exam appropriateness.
  • Operate and calibrate imaging equipment, ensuring image quality and performance.
  • Document radiopharmaceutical usage and imaging data in EMR.
  • Assist with department operations, QA/QC, and compliance.
