Job summary

SA-TECH, a DoD contractor, is seeking an Electronics Technician Maintenance III at Naval Base Point Loma in San Diego. You will maintain shipboard and ground electronics across NBPL vessels and support fleet operations.

You will install systems, operate WAN/LAN, radios, and encryption devices, and interpret schematics using standard test instruments, with occasional overtime to meet mission needs. Must be a U.S.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduation from an accredited trade school, applicable military service or proven performance gained through experience.
• Knowledge of military operations is highly desirable.
• Understanding of circuits, using industry standard test instruments and independent judgment.
• May be expected to work outside normal hours of operations as mission/fleet support requirements dictate.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on shipboard and ground electronics.
• Install commercial off the shelf marine systems and specialized systems with no supervision.
• Operate and maintain WAN/LAN network equipment, HF/UHF/VHF radios, and encryption devices.
• Manufacture, repair, and install coaxial and electrical/data cables and connectors.
• Apply knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manuals and schematics.
