Advanced Medical Support Assistant (AMSA) located at the Wilmington, NC Health Care Center, is responsible for coordinating patient care and performing the full range of duties related to scheduling and patient flow within an interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery model.

Applicants pending educational or certification requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.

Competenze

• Six months clerical/administrative experience or equivalent.
• One year of education above high school.
• Equivalent combination of experience and education is qualifying for entry level.

Mansioni

• Coordinate patient care and manage scheduling and patient flow within an interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery model.
• Develop and maintain effective communication with the patient care team and other VA facilities.
• Utilize patient systems to track appointments, referrals, and follow-ups across multiple clinics.
• Assist with processes related to access to care and clinic flow within the care delivery model.
