The Veterans Health Administration in Bath, NY is seeking an Advanced Medical Support Assistant to join the Community Living Center. The Medical Support Assistant will function in a technical advisory capacity, assist residents with administrative inquiries, and perform clerical and support duties across the CLC and Geriatrics & Extended Care Line.

The role includes coordinating with staff, handling inquiries, and arranging appointments with VA and non-VA providers.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with questions, complaints and information relating to administrative resolution.
• Perform clerical and assistant support for the Community Living Center (CLC) and Geriatrics & Extended Care Line.
• Receive and relay telephone messages; direct inquiries to appropriate staff.
• Interface with VA and non-VA providers to set up resident appointments.
