Job summary

The Advanced Medical Support Assistant is part of the Health Administration Service within the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks, based at the Joplin, Missouri Community Based Outpatient Clinic, with duties anchored in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Qualifications

• One year of experience at GS-05 level is not required.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent proficiency certificate.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the patient care team to monitor clinic appointment availability and adjust schedules as needed.
• Utilize advanced patient systems across multiple clinics in an interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery model.
• Communicate with VA medical centers and external facilities, and prepare notices to patients (lab results, follow-ups, etc.).
