Job summary

Intermountain Health Sevier Valley Hospital in Richfield, UT is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist/MLS Advanced to support Hematology, Coag and UA. You will oversee quality control, instrument maintenance, proficiency testing, and regulatory compliance while assisting with CAP inspections.

This role requires a Bachelor's in clinical lab science, MT/MLS ASCP, 2 years of lab experience, and flexibility for varied shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory/medical technology science or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• ASCP certification as Medical Technologist/Medical Lab Scientist or equivalent.
• Two years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Montana applicants must have state licensure to work in MT.
• Foreign transcript submission may be required.
• Experience leading training and education of staff preferred.
• Experience developing, leading, implementing department initiatives preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance and proficiency testing entry for external surveys.
• Lead and assist with inventory control.
• Support supervisor with personnel duties such as investigations and competency assessment.
• Support supervisor with technical duties like AMRS, Correlations, recalls and instrument troubleshooting.
• Lead and assist with new instrument evaluation and implementation.
• Develop and refine policies and procedures.
• Attend or lead system Work Groups to support standardization initiatives.
• Maintain bench competency and shifts; take call as required.
