Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or military training in lieu of formal MA program (per DD214 or EMT).
• Current CMA or RMA certification or eligible per listed associations.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and policies.
• Performs rooming tasks: vitals, medical history, allergies, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs venipuncture, specimen handling, and POCT per standing orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines following rights of administration.
• Handles refills, authorizations, scheduling, and referrals.
• Maintains clean, stocked work environment and supports onboarding.
