Job summary

Stratasys Direct Manufacturing in Minnetonka, MN seeks a Mechanical Inspector II to support inspections from raw materials to final product, ensuring compliance with AS9102 and customer specifications. The role requires GD&T knowledge, CMM experience (FARO/Romer), and strong teamwork.

You will coordinate with manufacturing to uphold quality standards, create NCRs, and maintain quality records, with a 2nd shift schedule. ITAR-compliant and US citizen status required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of inspection experience.
• Use of inspection tools.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, work orders, and related job documents.
• AS9102 FAI experience.
• Computer proficiency with MS Windows, MS Office and software.
• Excellent personal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Basic understanding of Polyworks (or equivalent) software.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection and testing as required by the work instructions and POs.
• Perform in-process inspection and testing as required by the Work Instructions and drawings.
• Perform final inspection and testing as required by the Work Instructions and drawings.
• Basic understanding of GD&T and use of portable CMM (FARO, Romer, etc.).
• Perform inspection and document in compliance with AS9102.
• Create NCRs and ensure dispositions are completed.
• Enforce company quality standards with regard to customer satisfaction, product accuracy and appearance, and on-time deliveries.
• Assist in implementing quality systems such as ISO 9001 and AS9100 internal and external monitoring; continuous process improvement; employee training.
• Assist in maintaining Quality Records resulting from inspection/test.
• Participate in 5S activities as assigned.
• Assist in MRB activities.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate Stratasys Behaviors by leading and modeling values.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the department or manager.
