Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Materials and Process Engineer to develop and characterize Ni-, Fe-, or Ti-based alloys for high-performance components. Hybrid work in Phoenix, AZ with initial 100% onsite for 90 days.

The role emphasizes metallurgy, materials testing, data modeling, and design guidance. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a technical field and at least 3 years in material characterization, preferably in aerospace or related industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in material characterization, preferably in aerospace, automotive, or related industries.
• Master’s degree in Materials Science or related field is valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead materials development and qualification projects using microstructure analysis, mechanical testing, and data modeling.
• Conduct experimental testing to evaluate material performance under various loading conditions.
• Develop design guidance to optimize mechanical properties and reliability of components.
• Investigate material performance issues and propose mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate material characteristics into product design.
• Prepare documentation and present findings to stakeholders.
