Job summary

Niron Magnetics in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Technician, Analytical Lab to prepare samples and operate analytical equipment for advanced materials analysis, focusing on nano iron nitride powders used for bulk magnets.

You will work largely inside a glove box due to air sensitivity, performing precise mass measurements, handling epoxies, and following SOPs while developing and documenting improvements when appropriate.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree required.
• Excellent hands-on skills and ability to operate lab equipment.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples and operate analytical equipment for advanced materials analysis.
• Work with nano iron nitride powders in an inert glove box environment, with precise mass measurements.
• Follow SOPs, and contribute improvements where appropriate and approved by Niron.
• Coordinate scheduling to ensure timely sample preparation and measurement.
• Adhere to Niron's Safety Program.
