Job summary

IMI plc is hiring a Manufacturing Technician II for an onsite role in the United States. You will independently complete assembly, inspection, test-support, and packaging within a product family, interpreting controlled documentation and maintaining quality standards.

The role requires broader product knowledge than entry level, with responsibilities spanning from setup to final inspections, ensuring safety and process adherence in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent manufacturing capability.
• 1+ years of relevant assembly or manufacturing experience or qualification at the Manufacturing Assembler I level.
• Ability to use hand tools, torque tools, fixtures, simple gauges and production systems after qualification.
• Ability to perform repetitive and precision work, use PPE, and meet physical/environmental requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follow HSE requirements and PPE rules; escalate unsafe conditions.
• Work to current drawings, BOMs, work instructions, inspection plan, and acceptance criteria.
• Perform multi-step mechanical, electrical, fluidic, adhesive, or precision assembly using approved tools and fixtures.
• Interpret current work instructions, drawings, BOMs, and revision controls.
• Perform in-process inspections and record results; apply the specified reaction plan.
• Demonstrate tasks to trainees under approved training process without changing standard methods.
• Maintain clean, organized, audit-ready area; protect tools and equipment.
• Communicate shift status and support handoffs; collaborate across departments.
