Job summary

IMI plc in University Park, IL is seeking a reliable Manufacturing Assembler to work from work orders, listings and blueprints, rotating through departments and assembly machines to meet schedules.

You will perform riveting, forming, sealing, testing for leaks, and pack completed units; inspect parts for defects; follow verbal and written instructions; and maintain high attendance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must maintain good attendance and work record.

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust equipment including riveting and assembly of piston rod components.
• Assemble subassemblies and complete units by aligning components.
• Inspect units for defects and conduct tests for leaks.
• Package and label completed units; perform rework as needed.
• Notify supervision of equipment or operation difficulties.
• Move between departments to meet scheduling requirements.
